St. Joseph is located in Shelbyville Indiana in teh Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

Mission Statement
As an active Roman Catholic present in Shelby County since 1868, St. Joseph Parish proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the 21st Century through the celebration of the mass and the Sacraments.  With a spirit of fellowship, our mission is to provide a place for prayer, faith formation, education, and community service for people of all ages. in all stages of life.

Our Vision for the Future
We hope to see St. Joseph Parish:
As a spiritual home for the celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacraments;
As a source of social and moral influence in our community, as seen through service;
As a strong foundation of Catholic education for all ages through the elmentary school and faith formation programs;
As a center for fellowship and spiritual growth for the entire church membership;
As a financially sound institution with a modern and updated physical plant.

Goals
Provide continuing faith formation for parishioners in all stages of life.
Increase parishioner involvement of time, talent, and treasure.
Become financially self-sufficient.
Promote St. Joseph School within the parish and throughout the Shelbyville community.
Welcome back Catholics, RCIA members, or those persons who do not have a spiritual home to participate in the life of St. Joseph Parish.
Establish a dynamic youth ministry.
Provide opportunities to deepen the spiritual life of St. Joseph Community.
