Mission Statement
As an active
Roman Catholic presence in Shelby County since 1868, St. Joseph Parish
proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the 21st Century through the
celebration of the Mass and the Sacraments. With a spirit of fellowship,
our mission is to provide a place for prayer, faith formation, education,
and community service for people of all ages, in all stages of life.

As a financially sound institution with a modern and
updated physical plant.
Goals

Provide continuing faith formation for parishioners
in all stages of life.

Increase parishioner involvement of time, talent,
and treasure.

Promote St. Joseph School within the parish and
throughout the Shelbyville community.

Welcome back Catholics, RCIA members, or those
persons who do not have a spiritual home to participate in the life of St.
Joseph Parish.
